had to change the way I talk and think, otherwise I risked losing the
connection I had built up with my clients. It even extended to my
homelife. When my wife and I got married, we were living and working in
a tiny one-bedroom rented flat on a run-down housing estate; we both
worked from home and ran a company together out of our front room - we
HAD to learn to communicate – to share information and feelings – to
understand all the little signs that each of us was giving. Fortunately
it worked - nowadays we work together on stage, presenting workshops
and courses for singers and performers, and we've had some great
comments from people on our own personal dynamic.

met. I work in Musical Theatre, and each opening night there is a

they be insulted if I got it wrong - what if they didn't like what I
chose - would they never speak to me again and would it ruin the
relationship? They were lucky if they got a card!

book called Successful Singing Auditions. In it I created a process to
help singers find the perfect songs for them to sing. I knew that
singers find it really difficult to choose things to sing - there are
literally MILLIONS of songs out there and you can only learn one song

look for the right songs, how to KNOW they were right for them, and how
